March 17th, 2020: A Message from Praedicat CEO, Dr. Robert Reville on COVID-19
At Praedicat, we are privileged to be a small company with a global reach, and while catastrophes are usually local, the unfolding COVID-19 is impacting us, our families, and our friends all across the world. I am writing in hopes that you are staying safe and healthy, and to assure you that we are taking the steps necessary to remain productive so we can continue to serve our clients while we protect ourselves and our communities, both local and global.
In terms of remaining productive, we are continuing with our regular content updates in ChemMeta and CoMeta, and are moving forward on schedule this month with our defense cost modeling updates and major underwriting workflow software enhancement. Our account management team, as well as our scientists and company experts are available via video conference to help you continue business-as-usual to the greatest extent possible at this uncertain time.
Indeed, if you, like us, are foregoing travel for now, it could be the perfect time for a videoconference on our latest 4th-party litigation scenarios, or a demo of our planned accumulation management workflow. Let us know if you are interested.
We are also developing a “litigenome map” for the COVID-19 pandemic with a plan to be able to run this against your portfolio. We expect that some of the legal innovations in social inflation may manifest in the aftermath of COVID-19, and we are developing scenarios to explore the risks.
As all of you know, we had to cancel Praedicon 2020, our inaugural conference, scheduled for April 2 in New York City. We had a fantastic agenda in store for you, and we are committed to making this content available to you with the urgency it demands. We are planning other ways for our community to get together through some combination of locally hosted events, videos, webinars and live streaming content. Please stay tuned for updates as we explore all of our options.
Through it all, our thoughts are with you as together we manage this crisis. Please take care and stay safe and healthy.
