In today’s landscape, we face a resurgence of mass tort litigations and the escalating impact of litigation finance-fueled social inflation. While governments and corporations promise to slash future greenhouse gas emissions to stave off planetary catastrophe, plaintiffs are suing in court to press for a more rapid transition to net-zero and redress the harms already incurred.
We started to address climate risk in 2020 and realized that climate change liability was here, and it was going to be big. Today, we are extremely proud of our climate casualty risk solution which features a collection of climate liability scenarios that contemplate a range of climate-induced litigation events that could trigger general liability, D&O, and Workers’ Compensation policies. We set out to deliver a solution that would truly help our clients assess and manage their climate risk exposure, and this award confirms that we were successful!
